Hello, I am Dr. Nahom Tsehai, MD, FISQua. I graduated from Addis Ababa University as a medical doctor and began my professional journey with the Ethiopian Federal Police Health Service, where I worked at the Police Hospital and progressively took on responsibilities in clinical service, quality improvement, and healthcare administration. During my time there, I became deeply involved in improving healthcare systems and leading institutional improvement projects. I contributed to the standardization of ICU and Emergency Room services to national and international standards, the improvement and restructuring of Psychiatry services, and the transformation of paper-based processes into Electronic Medical Records (EMR). I also worked on healthcare data integration, quality improvement initiatives, and data-driven decision-making to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. My professional journey has continued to grow around Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Healthcare Management, Digital Health, and Data Science. I am an ISQua Fellow and Certified Specialist in Patient Safety & Quality Improvement, and I remain committed to using my experience to improve healthcare systems and help the next generation of healthcare professionals adapt to a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
